Ok so there's a lil but I dont wanna get any one all excited just in case ;o )

...Some of u may know - but abt 12 years ago I met a guy from Holland ...
He had been living in Utah for 4 years & wouldnt ya know it we met 4 WEEKS b4 he was leaving!! ...& Yes that was the last time I had seen him...
UNTIL LAST WEEK !!

He's still as sweet, cute, fun, caring & amazing as he was so long ago! Only NOW ... Im older & not such a lil player! :o ) ...So we enjoyed a few nites 2gether, I cried when he left on Fri morning & he's called me AT LEAST once a day since!! ...

Plan?? ... Well ...to keep in touch & see each other again...SOON !!

Thirty FLIRTY & Thriving !!!

Thats right folks...Youre truly has hit that 30 year mark !!
Saturday was my bday !!! & Although it was a other year older I celebrated like I always do...
Wed: Dinner with a friend
Th: Sushi with friendS
Fri: Date w/ a boy (no one in particular dont worry u dont need details! lol)
Sat: Went to the Tooele Motor Sportspark by 7AM to watched bullet bikes race by til noon...Had a special CREW MEMBER pass so I got to stand on PIT ROW !! Freaking awesome!!!
Then I met friends at the park for a bbq @ 2pm !!

& thats just the beginning...
Ive had plans all week & more to come... All cause ppl couldnt make the party or dinner last week! ... Spoiled?? Naaaaaaaaa ;o )

So thats abt all Ive been up to...Things are GREAT ! Job is good, Apt is good, LIFE is WONDERFUL !! Friends & Fam are great!

Totally slacked off on giving ya'all an update!!
...Mostly cause there's not much to update! :o )

I think Ive decided not to move to LV... Im happy with my job, Im content in my apartment, & I luv being able to take a 40 minute drive up to Ogden each weekend to hang out with the fam! ... I think I'll stay put in Utah for a bit... ;o )

1st of all ...Ya know how Grey's Anatomy uses song titles for ALL their episodes... Ive been trying to figure out what I can use as titles for all my blogs...Ideas welcome!!!

Interviews Interviews...
I went to LV again this past weekend to meet with another potential. Things went very well, the interview/lunch took 3 & 1/2 hours!! Wow is right... We talked about all kinds of things & to be honest I felt I was a shoe in!! BUT...The email came yesterday that he had chosen not to hire me. In a way I was relieved - I mean I wanted the job, I want to move to Vegas...But on my drive home Sunday I just felt like maybe this one wasnt right. SO...Had he extended an offer to me I may have experienced a lil anxiety on what to do!

All things work out in the end yes!!

Speaking of ...I havent heard ANYTHING from the previous company...Not even a return email for the thank you email I sent. As Ive waited to hear from that one I think Ive realized it didnt feel 100% right either...ya know...

Many things on my mind...Should I stay or should I go?! Was all this to open my eyes to what I have here @ Beacon? (great boss, great pay, flexible hours, potential for a raise SOON) ...Or maybe to just let me know I COULD fit in out there somewhere... Maybe to push me along to widen my horizons to new ppl, new ideas, new friends... I dunno... Whatever will be Will be :o )

Interview

So...
I feel like I did VERY well in my interview...The guys I met were awesome to talk to.
We talked casually & businessly (?!?? lol)...
It sounds like an amazing opportunity! It sounds like what I am looking for & It definately sounds like they are looking for ME ...

At the end of the interview I was told
'We will be on hiatus for about a week to 10 days cause the owners are on vacation & I know they will want to chat a lil & do an interview as well...So dont think we've fallen off the earth or that we've forgotten about you... Email anytime to check in on things, keep in touch over the next week...It was a pleasure to meet with you & get to talk to you...'

They both seemed impressed with me, with my abilities, my portfolio & my flexibility in WHERE I could go in the company...
The options they talked about BOTH seem incredible! & BOTH are things I could see myself doing!
~~As the company grows they will need:
1- Someone who can step up & be head of all financial systems. This person would have managers in A/P, A/R, HR, etc answering to them (!!!)
2- Someone who would be the right hand to the owners. Keep them up to date on the progress of all the department, keep them organized & keep track of all their scheduling (personal asst type-!!!)

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... I feel good about it !!

I will admit, when I left I was like
Why didnt they immediately gimme the job? What did I do wrong? What more could they want?
Then after I thought abt it I realized that was my preliminary face to face...These guys dont do the hiring - the owners ultimately make that decision! These guys simply do a lil weeding out!...
Im proud to say I do believe Im a flower left in the garden!! ;o )

Will letcha know when I hear more!!! :o )

ps...If it doesnt work out maybe I can get a date with one of the guys that interviewed me...27, adorable Boston accent, broad shoulders, cute smile, great sense of humor... HaHaHa

I guess I should start by telling you that Ive been looking for an Admin position in Vegas since I got back from the conference!
Actually I have wanted to move to Las Vegas for about 3 years now.
In the past things just never worked out & it never felt 100% right...
The events that transpired due to the conference lead me to believe that its time to look again!
...First off, I found ppl to split gas costs w/ me; next when I met everyone @ a luncheon I wasnt even going to attend cause I didnt pay to register -I read one of the class schedules & noticed I share the same last name with one of the teachers; then wouldnt you know it our host actually knew the guy!! I got to meet him & we started chatting. Not about family stuff but about careers. He proceeded to tell me that his daughter just left an amazing company & that they were desperately looking for an Office Manager...
??!??!
Where'd this come from...
I mean I know Id been feeling like it was time for a change - Time to take a risk - I dunno time for me to move forward BUT I never expected to have it hit me like that!
I decided to check out some postings on craigslist.com & to my surprise there were at least 5 a day I could (& did) apply for! & to ADD to that...I found several condos/apts/homes for rent in NICE areas at AFFORDABLE prices!
If it hadnt hit me before that this was the change I needed it definately had at that point!!
SO...I havent heard from my distant cousin or the company BUT
I have applied for some amazing positions. After several emails claiming to be a legit textile company in London & one very non-professional phone call...I sailed through a phone interview yesterday with a Land Management company based in Northern Cali with a small office in Vegas...

Vegas Vegas VEGAS !!!

I just got home from an LDS Singles Conference in VEGAS baby !!
I know - Mormons in Vegas - Wha ?!!? lol

I had so much fun!! I had the chance to meet some awesome ppl & also get to know & hang out with some amazing friends !!!
... I wish it wasnt over ...I seriously already miss these ppl ! ...

I LUV to attend these kind of things... Truth be told I usually miss out on the workshops & the 'lessons' (other than the actual church meeting on Sunday!) but I always come away knowing more about myself, knowing more abt ppl around me & creating new &/or strengthening old friendships!
Im a ppl person...I dont have to tell ya'all that!! :o ) The ppl I met this weekend all touched me in one way or another - Their stories, their jokes, their passions, their acceptance - Just by being who they are.
Relationships with those around you are such an important part of life & growing... How we take others, how we listen, love & accept them is a great way to know who we truly are.
Im so grateful for the chance to have gone to Vegas this weekend (Id say 'attended' but I only attended Sunday church, the dances & eating activities! lol)...
This was by far the best trip Ive ever taken to Vegas & definately have created some long lasting friendships while there!!

As for me...I dunno what I'll do tonite...Its been sorta like just any other day today...Ive gotten numberous texts from friends wishing a great day...or sending a text message rose... But really - since Im single its just another day...Im happy & warm inside cause I know my friends LOVE me...& ok yea Im giddy cause I got a text from a cute boy...Woke me up from a dead sleep...BUT...hehe...Worth it !! ....Anyhows...

Bein' sick SUCKS...

Simply stated...Being sick SUCKS !!
... Ive been battling this BLAH that seems to be infesting everyone in the SLC area... Im dying to eat something that tastes better than graham crackers & applesauce...Oh I know the list of things that taste better than the food we ate as children is short but in this case...Im so ready for pizza - steak - chicken - sushi... Wow my list could go on & on :o )
Youre right I havent been sticking to JUST graham crackers & applesauce but my body HATES me when I venture away from that menu!! ...So Ive been trying the best I can to stick to it...

Ok so other than being sick... Really there hasnt been much going on...
My best friend Rachel is married now, so I dont see her too very much
& my other best friend Steph just decided to get a boyfriend...
Goodness what Valentines Day will do to some ppl... Speaking of...
How many of you actually have a 'Valentines' ?!!?

Other than the 2 years I was married Im not sure Ive had a 'Valentines' since high school ... Around Valentine's ppl seem to either actively seek for someone or become a recluse to avoid buying a gift...LoL ...
But thats a topic for another day...MAYBE Valentines Day !! ;o )
